This species is often called "The Goblet Flower' and is also native to South America. It blooms in succession for us from May through November on sturdy, yet airy, 2' stems with 6 petals in a gorgeous shade of blue. This robust grower prefers a moist, yet well-drained and slightly acidic soil, but is also surprising drought resistant once established. It performs equally well in large containers or in the ground. The buds are nearly as beautiful as the blooms, as few flowers match its exact shade of blue. Good for zones 7b-10.
