“Les Gles de Marais” as the early French settlers called the beautiful Louisiana Iris they found growing in the swamps of Louisiana. All of our plants are hybrids produced from those original species found native to the Southern United States and is one of our gardening passions. The months of March and April bring an absolute sea of “fleur-de-lis” here at Solas Gardens! Louisiana Iris can grow in ponds or bogs, but they are also very easy to grow in ordinary garden conditions. We are located “way down south” so the optimum shipping time for our LA Iris is late August through October 15th; however, this year we are growing some of each out in containers. We can ship year ound now on some varieties. They are out of dormancy for us; and depending on your zone, will transition easily into your garden and contine growing or start up again in early spring for you. Most Louisiana Iris are good to grow up to at least zone 6.

Shipping/handling on these rhizomes this year will be $7.00 for the first 3 rhizomes, then $8.00 for 4-6 rhizomes, and $9.50 shipping/handling for unlimited numbers over 7.

Please email your order listing name and number of each desired and a complete shipping address to:

djordan68@comcast.net

I will promptly email you back your total and payment instructions. As with everything we sell, complete and detailed growing and care instructions are included with every LA Iris order. Other bulbs and seeds we sell can be included with an LA Iris order (sometimes with no additional shipping charges)—just indicate what else you are interested in on your Iris email!
